Objective:

You’ve worked on some graphic design projects either for paid work, school assignments, or on your own. Now you need to showcase your talents so you can land a job, apply to art school or sell yourself to clients. You need to create a portfolio…

Why Do I Need a Digital Art Portfolio?

A portfolio is a showcase of the talent and creativity that you have to offer to who ever is looking at it. It needs to show that you are creative, but also reflect your attention to detail. It is similar to a resume, but showcasing artwork and accomplishments instead of experience.

How Do I Get Started?

  1. Create a New PAGE in WordPress
  2. Title: Semester 1 Portfolio
  3. Create the Following Sections. You may want to format them as Headers in Your Page. The Indented information is what will be included in each section.
    1. My Work
      1. Contains a Gallery of 4 projects showcasing a variety of your coursework.  (Note: A professional portfolio would have around 12 projects, but as we are only half way through the year, we will be working toward that)
    2. Reflections on My Work
      1. Contains a paragraph Describing and Analyzing each of the pieces included in your gallery.
    3. Challenge Project
      1. Will include a screen cast and step by step explanation of how to complete a project of your choosing.
    4. Typing Certificate
      1. Contains a Certificate from TypingWeb showcasing your typing skills
